Turn in time slips issued by any form of race track, drag, autox, track day etc. (I think it’s 3 per year) get manufacturer price on any oem Mazda parts.

Edit: forgot the best part, you can buy parts off of their race cars.

I went to a dealer recently to inqure about an STi. I just wanted pricing and maybe to look at a new model. The dealer had no new STi’s to show nor any WRXes. The salesperson was incredibly pushy and started getting very annoying when he wouldn’t quit even after I told him that I’m here just to do my homework and I need to think before making a decision such as purchasing a new car.

I wasn’t happy with that visit at all because I barely got any info and the price he showed me was way more than what I saw online (I don’t understand what sort of fees he tacked on because the online configurator includes freight and PDI and whatever else). Do I try another dealer or is this what you need to go through when ordering a new STi? Honestly that experience threw me off so much I’m now as equally excited for the 2016 Focus RS.

Honestly, I’d shop online to check the inventories of your local dealers to try to find a WRX or STI to test drive. Sorry you had a bad experience with that dealership.

You may not have the fuse if your car isn't an automatic. Also, I'm pretty sure it doesn't really help too much with MPG to turn AWD off.

I have never played with it. I love the way it handles in AWD too much. My manual states that it is primarily for use if the car is disabled and needs to be towed.

I've heard that the primary purpose is for when you have a flat tire. That way, you're supposed to put the spare tire on one of the back wheels, and you won't mess up the differentials by running different sozed tires.
